Senior Softs Designer (6‑month contract)

Jigsaw, a pioneer of the British high street, is seeking a Senior Softs Designer for a 6‑month contract to join the creative team at our beautiful headquarters in Kew Gardens.

This is a full‑time, 5 days a week in‑office role for an experienced designer to own the 360‑degree product lifecycle of our soft wovens collection.

You will design beautiful, high‑quality contemporary collections that stay true to Jigsaw’s heritage of craft and design. This role owns the full end‑to‑end process, requiring a mix of creative vision and strong commercial execution during this contract period.

• 360‑Degree Product Ownership:
  Lead the full product journey, including trend research, creative fabric and trim selection, sketching, and launching comprehensive tech workbooks.
• Fittings & Construction:
  Take full responsibility for regular fitting sessions, working closely with garment technologists to ensure premium silhouette execution and construction.
• Cross‑Functional
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Partner daily with our buying and merchandising teams to balance creative vision with commercial viability, range architecture, and critical path deadlines.
• Market Sourcing:
  Source fabrics and materials that align with Jigsaw's commitment to quality, sustainability, and contemporary elevated aesthetics.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience designing womenswear softs/wovens.
• Experience at a premium, contemporary, or designer‑level brand is highly preferred.
• Ability to work full‑time (5 days a week) from our Kew Gardens studio to collaborate dynamically with the wider team.
• Immediately available or on a short notice period to commit to a 6‑month contract.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and creating detailed factory workbooks.
• A strong understanding of the premium British high street and the modern contemporary luxury landscape.
