Role Overview

Receptionists are the first point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive sympathetic and courteous service. The role involves managing hospital reception duties, processing clients, handling enquiries, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients attending the hospital
  • Process clients and maintain PDSA paperwork
  • Answer telephone enquiries courteously and efficiently
  • Encourage financial contributions from clients
  • Work flexibly to cover weekends and team absences
  • Support hospital operations in a fast‑paced environment
Required Skills and Experience Essential
  • Good communication skills and excellent telephone manner
  • Organisational skills and ability to work in a busy environment
  • Resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing demands
Desirable
  • Previous office experience
  • Word processing skills
  • Experience using computerised record systems
