Overview
Dental Beauty Partners is seeking a Head Dental Nurse/Compliance Lead to join our mixed practice, Dental Beauty Islington. The position is full time, from 8:30 AM to 6 PM Monday–Friday, with roughly one Saturday every 6–8 weeks. The hourly rate is £17, plus a targeted bonus scheme. The practice is located in Islington and is easily accessible via Angel and Highbury & Islington stations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily surgery and decontamination room checklists and compliance.
- Manage audits and support full regulatory compliance standards.
- Maintain and update clinical equipment and stock systems.
- Oversee handpiece care, CT‑scanner checks, calibration, and equipment logs.
- Complete medical emergency kit and medical fridge temperature checks.
- Support infection control, including legionella testing and dip slides.
- Ensure surgeries are correctly stocked and well maintained.
- Lead and train junior staff and trainee dental nurses, including inductions.
- Manage clinical waste processes.
- Carry out spot checks to maintain high cleaning and hygiene standards.
- Support open days and occasional Saturday working (approx. eight per year).
- At least 4–5 years of experience as a Dental Nurse in a private or mixed practice.
- GDC registration is required.
- Prior compliance experience in practice is also important.
- Experience supporting general, cosmetic, and restorative dental treatment is highly desirable.
- Experience leading a team.
- Dental software experience is preferred but not essential.
- Ensure CQC requirements are met at all times.
- Experience in providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
- Highly competitive hourly rate of £17, with a targeted bonus scheme.
