About the role:We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Graduate Architectural Technologist (or a graduate with 1–2 years’ experience) to join our established and experienced architectural team.
As a project-based consultancy operating across multiple public‑sector frameworks, the role will primarily involve working on refurbishment projects across RIBA Stages 0–7, with project values ranging from £100k to £10m (please refer to our website for example projects).
You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, supported from the outset by experienced and Chartered professionals. The role will involve working within our in‑house architectural team and with external sub‑consultants to develop detailed design and technical packages for tender. Using NBS software, you will also assist in the preparation and coordination of project specifications.
We are strongly committed to staff development and will provide a structured training and CPD programme to support you in developing the skills and experience required to succeed in the role.
What we are looking for:- A motivated graduate with a strong interest in technical design development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook Calendar and calendar management.
- A collaborative team player, confident in liaising with in‑house teams and external consultants.
- Aspirations to learn, develop and grow with Castle Owen.
- An ambition to work towards qualification as a Chartered Architectural Technologist.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit (desirable but not essential), alongside a good general understanding of IT.
- A sound understanding of building construction. In‑house training, CPD and exposure to on‑site construction will be provided to further develop this essential skill.
- A degree in Architectural Technology.
