Town Planner - Sheffield (Hybrid Working)

Are you an ambitious Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career? We're working with a highly respected planning and development consultancy to recruit a talented Town Planner to join its growing Sheffield team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while benefiting from a supportive, collaborative culture and genuine career progression.

As a Town Planner, you'll play a key role in delivering planning advice across a wide range of residential, commercial, mixed‑use, regeneration, and strategic development projects. You'll work closely with experienced planning professionals, developers, landowners, and multidisciplinary teams to help shape successful developments from inception through to delivery.

The business has built a strong reputation for providing commercially focused planning advice and prides itself on delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients across both the public and private sectors.

The Role
  • Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals.
  • Producing planning appraisals, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Providing planning advice to clients throughout the development process.
  • Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees, and key stakeholders.
  • Supporting project delivery across a varied and exciting portfolio.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
About You
  • A degree in Town Planning or a related RTPI accredited discipline.
  • MRTPI membership or progress towards chartership.
  • Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environment.
  • Strong report writing and organisational abilities.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to manage multiple projects.
