Woodseats Medical Centre is looking to recruit a 4-session Salaried GP, working 2 sessions on a Tuesday and 2 sessions on a Thursday.

Interviews are schduled to take place on Monday 30th March 2026.

Applicants must already hold permanent right to work in the UK as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

We are a busy, well-established GP practice located in Sheffield S8. As a forward-thinking, friendly, training practice, we are proud of our growing patient list, which is now over 12,900 patients. Our clinical team includes 14 GPs, a Physician Associate, and a highly skilled Nursing and HCA team.

We are active members of the Peak Edge Primary Care Network, working closely with Meadow green, Sloan, and Steel City Practices. The PCN covers more than 50,000 patients and has a strong multidisciplinary workforce, including Clinical Pharmacists and Technicians, Social Prescribers, Care Coordinators, and Mental Health Practitioners. The PCN also operates as a Covid Vaccination and Enhanced Access Hub.

We are consistent high achievers in QoF and IIF, and we are rated Good by the CQC.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will undertake a full range of GP duties. This includes facetoface consultations, telephone consultations, managing patient queries, home visits, signing and reviewing repeat prescriptions, and completing paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner.

The postholder will be expected to make professional, autonomous clinical decisions for patients presenting with both undifferentiated and diagnosed conditions, whether self referred or referred by other members of the healthcare team. This includes assessing patients with complex or uncertain presentations and managing their immediate and ongoing care needs.

Responsibilities will include active engagement with QOF and Long Term Condition management, screening patients for risk factors and early signs of illness, and developing personalised care plans in line with current clinical guidelines and practice protocols.

The postholder will maintain clear, accurate, and contemporaneous clinical records to the standards required, and prescribe in line with the practice formulary and best practice guidelines.

In general, the postholder will carry out all duties normally expected of a GP working in primary care and will participate in the duty rota as the oncall GP when required by the practice.

There will also be opportunities to contribute to leadership, supervision, and training within the practice, supporting the development of the wider clinical team.

They will work in accordance with the agreed practice timetable and will be available to undertake the full range of GP duties, including consultations, telephone assessments, patient queries, home visits, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions, and completing paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner.

They will be expected to make autonomous clinical decisions for patients presenting with both undifferentiated and established conditions, whether self referred or referred by other members of the healthcare team. This includes assessing patients with undiagnosed symptoms, managing longterm conditions, and engaging fully with QOF and relevant clinical targets.

The postholder will screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, develop personalised care plans in line with current disease management protocols, and maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records.…
