Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Sheffield, S10

Pay: £100 per day

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: Temp – perm

Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only, 8:30 – 15:30

The Role
  • Support children with an Educational Health Care Plan (ECHP) in a small specialist provision within the school
  • Work under the teacher’s direction
  • Provide personalised support and learning to children with SEND
  • Collaborate as part of a close‑knit team
  • Receive high‑quality professional development and support
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) in Early Years
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND
  • Experience with children with a range of needs, including autism and speech & language difficulties
  • Prepared to support children’s physical needs (toileting, changing nappies, feeding)
  • Good understanding of fundamentals of reading, writing and maths in EYFS and KS1
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Build rapport with young learners
  • Work independently and with other support staff
  • Support 1:1 and small groups of learners

Safeguarding & Compliance
