Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield, S10
Pay: £100 per day
Start date: ASAP
Contract type: Temp – perm
Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only, 8:30 – 15:30

- Support children with an Educational Health Care Plan (ECHP) in a small specialist provision within the school
- Work under the teacher’s direction
- Provide personalised support and learning to children with SEND

- Minimum Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) in Early Years
- Previous experience working with children with SEND
- Experience with children with a range of needs, including autism and speech & language difficulties
- Prepared to support children’s physical needs (toileting, changing nappies, feeding)
- Good understanding of fundamentals of reading, writing and maths in EYFS and KS1
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to use own initiative
- Build rapport with young learners
- Work independently and with other support staff
- Support 1:1 and small groups of learners
- Support from experienced specialist consultants and a dedicated consultant point of contact

Applicants will undergo child protection screening, DBS, Barred List Check and a self‑disclosure. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS certificate.
