Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM

About the RoleCareer Teachers are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Sheffield. You will work within the school's Hub
, supporting up to 10 pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties (many pupils are non‑verbal). This is a full‑time position starting in January 2026 and continuing until the end of the academic year.
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with varied SEN profiles.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Use a range of strategies to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, and communication challenges.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and school staff.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting plans as needed.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well‑being.
- Essential: Previous experience teaching in an SEN school or specialist provision.
- Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and non‑verbal communication strategies.
- Ability to differentiate lessons and use creative approaches to engage learners.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
