Maths Teacher – SEN Settings

Location: Across specialist and SEND schools Sheffield and surrounding area
Contract: Long term, full time or part time
Start: ASAP or after notice
Pay: Weekly PAYE £160 -£220 (dependent on EXP), no umbrella faff

Love teaching Maths and want to make a real impact in a setting where every small step forward feels huge? We’re supporting a range of brilliant SEN schools looking for Maths specialists who can bring calm, confidence, and creativity to learners who need a little extra support.

You’ll be teaching Maths in small, well-supported classes where relationships matter just as much as results. Expect to work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and a caring team who genuinely want the best for every pupil.

You’ll be:

• Breaking down concepts so they feel achievable, not overwhelming

• Creating lessons that build confidence and spark curiosity

• Supporting learners with needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH or MLD

• Using structure and consistency to help pupils feel safe and ready to learn

• Celebrating every win, no matter how big or small

• A Maths specialist who loves the subject and knows how to adapt it

• Someone patient, steady, and unshakeably positive

• SEN experience is ideal, but not essential if you’ve got the right approach

• UK QTS or FE/Unqualified teachers with strong experience welcome

• A team-player who wants to make school feel like a safe place for every child
