A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a nurturing attitude and classroom experience to make a positive impact on pupils’ academic and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Provide in-class support to pupils across a range of abilities.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, planning, and behaviour management.
• Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to support learning and engagement.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Support children with additional needs, including SEND, where required.
• Monitor and report pupil progress to the class teacher and SENCO.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting children.
• Havean up-to-date CV(covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service(or be willing to apply for one).
