Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering - College of Business, Tech. & Engineering. Academic Grade 7 / 8. Salary £39,906 – £58,225 per annum, depending on experience.

As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering, you will join us at an exciting time and will have the opportunity to be involved in the development and delivery of our new Civil Engineering courses.
• Deliver a broad range of student‑engaging activities including lectures, seminars, tutorials, laboratory sessions, demonstrations, and other forms of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in a range of modes including online, on‑campus, synchronous or asynchronous.
• Develop and apply innovative and appropriate teaching and assessment techniques, creating materials which generate interest, understanding and enthusiasm among students.
• Carry out ongoing curriculum review and development, including teaching content and materials, and contribute to the development of teaching, learning and assessment strategies, incorporating the standards of the relevant accrediting professional bodies.

You’ll be joining the ‘Energy, Infrastructure and Environment’ Subject Area and will contribute to activities across the School, including teaching and research in your area of expertise, and external‑facing activities. The Subject Area delivers a diverse range of courses in disciplines including ‘Chemical Engineering’, ‘Civil Engineering’, ‘Energy and Sustainable Engineering’, ‘Materials Engineering’, and ‘Physics’, while its members conduct research in a diverse area of topics and contribute to courses across the curriculum.
