Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Across Sheffield & Surrounding Areas
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term |
Start Date: January 2026 |
Pay: £89.38 – £100 per day (PAYE, weekly pay—no umbrella agencies)
We’re supporting a brilliant mix of SEND schools across Sheffield and surrounding areas—from Rotherham to Don Valley and parts of Barnsley. These schools are doing amazing work with pupils who have autism, SEMH, PMLD and complex needs—and they’re looking for kind, capable Teaching Assistants to join their team.
Your Role Could Include- Supporting children 1:1 or in small groups
- Helping with communication tools and sensory regulation
- Creating calm, structured learning environments
- Working alongside SENCOs, therapists, and families
- Using (or training in) trauma-informed and de-escalation strategies
- Experience working in SEND settings—or a real passion to get started
- A calm, confident presence with strong communication skills
- Someone proactive, patient and always ready to help
