GSL Education are seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor (CS) to join a dynamic school in Sheffield to make a difference and foster a love for learning. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and support students in their academic journey.

As a Cover Supervisor (CS) in Sheffield, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students. You will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. Your role will involve delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting students in their learning.

Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain engaged and on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Support students in their learning and aid as needed.
• Monitor and record students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young adults.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
