Reeson Education are recruiting a confident SEMH Teacher for a focused, high-expectation provision in Sheffield (S2). This role suits someone who thrives in structured environments, values direct communication, and maintains firm standards that keep pupils grounded and progressing.
About the RoleAs an SEMH Teacher
, you will lead KS3 classes with clear routines, targeted interventions, and a strong behaviour framework. You will deliver practical, structured teaching that builds resilience, discipline, and academic engagement in pupils who respond best to steady, authoritative instruction.
- KS3 Instruction: Deliver structured, engaging lessons tailored to KS3 SEMH learners.
- Classroom Command: Maintain consistent routines, firm expectations, and a controlled learning environment.
- Behaviour & Regulation: Apply disciplined strategies that reinforce self‑control, focus, and resilience.
- Progress Monitoring: Track academic, behavioural, and emotional development with precision.
- Professional Coordination: Work efficiently with teaching assistants, behaviour teams, leaders, and external professionals.
- Proven experience teaching SEMH, KS3, alternative provision, or similar structured settings
- A strong classroom presence with clear, direct communication
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour with consistency and authority
- Solid decision‑making skills and a proactive, independent approach
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education
- Competitive daily rate of £160-£220 depending on experience
