English Tutors Required (Torbay, Devon)

Quantum Scholars are currently seeking qualified English Teachers (QTS) and experienced English Tutors to deliver 1-to-1 tuition across Torbay and the surrounding areas of Devon.

This role supports both secondary and primary-aged pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

Tuition may take place on school sites or in off-site, community-based or non-educational settings.

This opportunity is ideal for English teachers and tutors seeking a flexible, part-time alternative to mainstream classroom teaching.

Deliver 1-to-1 English tuition to secondary and primary-aged pupils across Torbay and surrounding areas.

Tuition may be delivered on school sites or in off-site, non-educational settings.

Work with pupils presenting a range of needs, including autism, behavioural challenges, SEMH, anxiety, or school refusal.

Part-time role with flexible hours, dependent on pupil and placement requirements.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, or substantial experience tutoring English
• Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)
• Willingness and ability to travel locally across Devon
• Experience working with pupils with autism, behavioural needs, SEMH, or alternative provision backgrounds is highly desirable
• Calm, adaptable, and relationship-focused approach to teaching
