Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant – Wanted in Newham!!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join an outstanding primary school community in Newham as a Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant!
Responsibilities- Provide dedicated support in the mornings, focusing on assisting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD diagnosis and potential self-harming behavior.
- Offer crucial assistance in the afternoons, aiding students and remaining flexible to work across Key Stages 1 and 2.
- Collaborate closely with Early Years educators to provide targeted support for children with SEN.
- Utilize your knowledge and skills to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

- Previous experience working as a Nursery or Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Seeking someone who is proactive, resilient, can uphold high standards of school and get the best out of the pupils.
- Must be able to Support with Nappy Changing
- The successful candidate will be able to put the needs of the children at the forefront of what they do, taking into consideration individual special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
