This mainstream primary school offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for early years pupils. Staff work closely with teachers and specialist support teams to embed speech, language and communication strategies into daily classroom practice.

• Work directly in classrooms, supporting children with speech, language and communication needs
• Gain practical experience applying speech and language strategies in an early years setting
• Learn from a supportive team of teachers and SEND specialists

• Supporting teachers in speech, language and communication interventions
• Delivering structured or play-based activities to improve communication and social skills
• Observing, recording, and reporting on children’s progress

• Helping create a safe, inclusive and communication-rich classroom environment
• Supporting early identification of speech, language and communication difficulties

• Experience working with young children in nursery or school settings
• Interest or experience in speech and language support or SEND
• Patient, caring and proactive, with excellent communication skills
• Confident working in one-to-one or small group interventions
• A collaborative team player
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
