Position: Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Overview

What skills and experience we're looking for in this role include preparing teaching materials, setting up classroom displays, planning and teaching well-structured lessons to assigned classes, and reinforcing the school ethos. The role involves assessing, monitoring, recording and reporting on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned children, and using assessment effectively. To be successful, you must set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge children.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare teaching materials and set up classroom displays.
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school 0plans, curriculum and schemes of work while reinforcing the school ethos and behaviour expectations within class and on the school site.
  • Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned children, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge children.
