The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to support pupils with a range of additional needs within our mainstream setting. The role involves planning and teaching small intervention groups, providing targeted in‑class support, and working closely with the SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality, inclusive teaching tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Plan and implement targeted interventions to support progress.
- Adapt curriculum content, resources, and assessment to ensure accessibility.
- Support pupils with EHCPs and contribute to reviews and reports.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, SENCO, parents, and external agencies.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion across the school.
You will be a reflective and nurturing practitioner who:
- Holds QTS (ECTs welcome to apply).
- Has experience supporting pupils with SEN in a mainstream primary setting.
- Has a secure understanding of inclusive practice and differentiation strategies.
- Is confident working with pupils with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, speech and language, SEMH, cognition and learning).
- Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A supportive and inclusive school community.
- Strong leadership and SENCO support.
- Ongoing professional development opportunities.
- A positive working environment focused on wellbeing and collaboration.
