We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled English Tutor to support learners participating in the STACK programme. The post‑holder will deliver high‑quality ESOL learning that enables adult learners to progress through CEFR levels (A1–B2) and achieve all associated examinations and milestones. This role combines structured group delivery, one‑to‑one coaching, progress monitoring, and exam preparation to ensure learners develop strong, workplace‑relevant English language skills.

The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to join a high‑growth, forward‑thinking organisation delivering a major international development programme. The English Tutor will support STACK delegates through a structured CEFR learning journey designed to build confidence, workplace readiness, and long‑term communication skills. The post‑holder will work primarily remotely, with occasional travel as required.

- Deliver engaging ESOL teaching across CEFR levels A1–B2 following the programme learning plan.
- Provide group sessions and onetoone coaching, adapting delivery methods to learner needs and contexts.
- Create, adapt and maintain learning materials aligned to CEFR competencies and workplacerelevant communication tasks.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine learners’ starting points (A1/A2/B1).
- Track learner progress against CEFR outcomes, guided learning hours, and STACK milestones.
- Prepare learners for Aptis ESOL examinations and support them to achieve required certification.
- Maintain accurate and timely records within internal systems.
- Provide pastoral and academic guidance to maintain learner confidence and sustained engagement.
- Identify learning barriers early and implement tailored intervention strategies.
- Offer optional additional tutoring (Months 16–18) for learners who require extended support.
- Work closely with internal colleagues (Education, Product, QA, and Customer teams) and STACK stakeholders to ensure the programme is delivered to a consistently high standard.
- Contribute to ongoing quality assurance, evaluation, and improvement of ESOL provision.
- Participate in team meetings, CPD, standardisation activities, and curriculum reviews.
- Recognised ESOL/TEFL/TESOL qualification (CELTA, Trinity TESOL, ESOL Level 5+ or equivalent).
- Experience delivering ESOL learning to adults across multiple CEFR levels.
- Strong understanding of CEFR progression, language pedagogy, and ESOL assessments.
- Experience preparing learners for accredited examinations (Aptis, IELTS, or equivalent).
- Competence in digital facilitation (Teams/Zoom) and familiarity with LMS/VLE systems.
- Excellent planning, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage multiple learners, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
- Experience supporting learners in corporate, apprenticeship, or employability programmes.
- Experience contextualising ESOL learning for workplace environments.
- Ability to create multimedia learning assets (e.g., worksheets, presentations, basic digital content).
