Prospero Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 class teacher to work in a Primary school in Newham, East London. The school is a three‑form entry Primary school with a supportive leadership team and provides training for all staff.

  1‑term contract, temporary (potential extension or permanent contract based on performance)
• Hours:
  
  08:00 am – 04:00 pm, Monday‑Friday (term‑time only)
• Pay:
  Minimum pay rate depending on pay scale

As a full‑time Year 5 class teacher you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 pupils
• Mark student work and give constructive feedback
• Prepare and present classroom activities and assessments
• Assist and collaborate with the school’s support staff
• Attend parent evenings and maintain communication with parents and guardians
• Contribute to the school’s professional learning community

• QTS/ECT or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching KS1 or KS2
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training within the past year

• Valid right to work in the UK
• Held enhanced child barred list DBS and willing to enrol onto the DBS update service
• Provide two child‑related professional references from the past two years
• Register and pass all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching
