Job Coach
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £25,110 (FTE) - £19,800 (pro rata)
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 30th April 2026
Think FE is working with a highly respected, inclusive further education college in Northamptonshire to recruit a Job Coach on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact, supporting young people with additional needs into meaningful work and long-term employment.

Role Overview

As a Job Coach, you will play a key role in supporting learners with moderate to severe learning disabilities as they transition from education into the workplace. You will work closely with students, employers and internal college teams to ensure supported internships and work placements are successful, sustainable and tailored to everyone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support young people with additional needs to access and succeed in supported work placements
  • Work collaboratively with employers to create inclusive and positive working environments
  • Provide on-the-job support and guidance to learners during placements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, support agencies and stakeholders
  • Support learners in progressing from placements into paid employment
What do you need?
  • Experience working with young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities
  • Strong networking and relationship‑building skills with employers and external partners
  • A proactive, supportive and empathetic approach
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
  • Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI) is desirable
