Salary
Can scale 14-17 (£27,025 - £27,541 per annum, full time equivalent. Term time only, 33 hours actual salary - £20,760 - £21,156 per annum)
Days190 days (188 term time days plus 2 staff prep days at the beginning of the academic year)
Working hours33 hours per week between 8.00am and 3.50pm, across 5 days.
PositionThis is a non‑teaching post which will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people supporting them in their school life, helping them to access a varied and exciting curriculum.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will be part of a team working under the direction of the SENCo.
You will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels as well as with parents/carers, students and external agencies.
Specialist provisionOaks Park High School is home to Horizon – the largest autism base in the country, providing a bespoke curriculum for students with autism. Applications from those with experience in this area or an interest to gain more experience are very welcome.
Qualifications and experience- Experience or interest in working with students with autism.
- Ability to support a diverse range of pupils.
- Strong collaborative working skills.
