Job Title: Behaviour Support

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day‑to‑day / Long Term, Full‑time / Part‑time

As a Behaviour Support professional, you will play a key role in helping students manage their behaviour, develop positive relationships, and engage successfully in their education. This rewarding position is ideal for individuals with experience supporting children and young people in educational, youth work, care, or mentoring settings.

Main Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support
  • Provide tailored behavioural and emotional support to students
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Promote engagement, attendance, and participation in learning
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
  • Support students both within the classroom and through targeted interventions
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and other professionals
  • Monitor student progress and record behavioural outcomes where required
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements of a Behaviour Support
  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable
  • Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to supporting students
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • A genuine commitment to helping young people succeed
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Hold an up‑to‑date CV with two references from the last 2 years
  • Hold a DBS registered to the Update Service (or be happy to apply)
