Position: Learning Manager - Student Support Role

Student Support Role – Learning Manager

Salary: OGAT Grade 7, NJC 15-17 (£30,024 to £31,022 full‑time equivalent). Actual salary £26,690.69 to £27,577.89.

Appointment:
Permanent, full time, required as soon as possible.

About the role

We are looking for a Learning Manager to join Outwood Academy City, a busy and dynamic team that supports student learning through data‑driven strategy, targeted intervention and ongoing monitoring to maximise attainment. The successful candidate will play a key part in the Academy’s safeguarding team and will work closely with staff to support a culture of kindness, positivity and respect.

Key responsibilities
  • Analyse student performance data and design strategic interventions.
  • Monitor progress and provide timely feedback to teachers and support staff.
  • Facilitate professional development around use of data and intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with safeguarding team to ensure student welfare.
  • Maintain and report on learning management systems.
  • Represent the Academy in safeguarding and welfare meetings.
Qualifications and experience
  • English and Maths GCSE at Grade C / Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills and strong organisational ability.
  • Calm and proactive in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; training on our management information system will be provided.
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in a school setting.
