As a Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of nutrition, food preparation, health and safety, and culinary skills. You will create a positive classroom environment where students can learn through practical experiences while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.

• Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Prepare and organise practical cooking activities safely and effectively.
• Teach students about nutrition, food science and healthy lifestyles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of classroom and kitchen safety.
• Support positive behaviour and student engagement in lessons.
• Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable).
• Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent subject knowledge and practical teaching ability.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Professional, reliable and adaptable approach.

• Right to work in the UK.
• Up‑to‑date CV with two references from the last 2 years.
• DBS registration on the update service, or willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
