• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences using pre-set lesson plans

• Manage behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

• Engage students and encourage them to remain on task

• Report back to teaching staff on class progress and behaviour

• Confident and professional in managing groups of secondary-aged pupils

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential

• A positive attitude and a genuine interest in education
