About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and development in the classroom. You’ll work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences, provide targeted support, and help create a positive and inclusive environment where all children can thrive.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have recently completed degrees in Education, Childhood Studies, or Early Years
, and are looking to gain valuable school-based experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis with pupils
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom resources
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress where required
Skills & Requirements
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Degree in Education, Childhood Studies, Early Years (desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and supportive approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability across different school settings
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
