At Don Valley our curriculum is ambitious, hands‑on, and rooted in real‑world application. When taught with energy and imagination, Design & Technology inspires students to think critically, take pride in their work, and develop confidence in their ideas.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Design Technology Teacher who can bring this vision to life. In this role you will deliver engaging, challenging, and inspiring lessons across KS3 and KS4, bringing design concepts to life through practical application and real‑world contexts. Through innovative teaching strategies you will make complex processes accessible and meaningful, while planning and assessing in line with the Oasis Curriculum to drive strong student progress.
You will foster a positive and inclusive workshop environment where students feel confident to experiment, take risks, and refine their ideas, uphold high expectations for achievement, behaviour, and personal development, and actively contribute to enrichment opportunities such as design projects, competitions, and external partnerships.
Qualified teacher (QTS) with a genuine passion for Design & Technology, strong subject knowledge, and the creativity to deliver engaging and purposeful learning experiences. Holds high expectations for every student, regardless of background or ability, and is dedicated to helping each individual succeed. A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development, a collaborative and positive team player who thrives in a supportive environment and contributes meaningfully to both the department and the wider academy community.
