Overview
Sheffield University Management School seeks an experienced University Teacher in Work Psychology to support the delivery of postgraduate and undergraduate taught programmes. The role involves developing and delivering work‑psychology teaching and assessment across a range of modules within the School’s integrated curriculum.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver work‑psychology teaching and assessment within the School’s programmes, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Improve student experience and outcomes through programme delivery that meets student needs and professional requirements.
- Act ethically, serving as a role‑model for students.
- Undertake scholarship activities that positively impact students and have national/international influence.
- Engage in recruitment and outreach activities, including when required outside standard working hours.
- Support core administrative duties, such as student advising and mentoring.
- Provide line management where necessary.
- Represent the institution with external stakeholders to foster collaboration at regional or national levels.
- Adhere to University quality assurance processes and other regulatory frameworks, including BPS and CIPD.
- Contribute to the collective interests and values of the University through inclusive and collaborative work.
- Make a full and active contribution to the principles of the Sheffield Academic with a focus on excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly pursuits.
- Carry out other duties within the remit of the post.
- PhD (or equivalent relevant experience) in a relevant subject.
- Experience of teaching Work Psychology, or an associated discipline, in a Higher Education environment.
- Teaching qualification such as FHEA, PGCert Higher Education, or evidence of working towards one.
- Experience of working and communicating with a team of staff.
- Experience of developing strong working relationships with partners within and external to Higher Education.
- Ability to develop creative approaches to problem solving.
- Experience of working independently on project activities.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and effective IT skills.
- Psychometric Test User qualifications (Occupational Ability and Personality) and qualification to teach psychometrics via SHL’s Accredited Trainer Programme (ATP).
Salary: £48,822 – £58,225

Full Time
