Level Teaching Assistant

Governorsof Brunswick Community Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding,experienced, committed and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work within our school. The post is to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will:

• have aproven record of good/outstanding practice in education
• have high expectations of children’s behaviour and attitudes in learning
• beable to demonstrate skills to teach whole classes along with proven experience of working with children across the Primary age range with a particular ability to inspire and motivate children.
• demonstrate experience in a range of inclusive approaches which will allow children with additional needs to enable them to thrive and make progress.
• possess excellent inter-personal skills to communicate effectively with children,parents and staff and be able to work effectively as part of ateam.
• be committed to professional development

Knowledge and

Skills:

• Higher Level Teaching Assistants must demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding to be able to help thepupils they work with make progress with their learning.
• The post holder must hold relevant qualifications in both English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy, equivalent to at least Level 2 ofthe National Qualifications Framework
• The post holder should have been assessedas having met the HLTA standards or hold an equivalent professional qualification relevant to the role.
• Applicants will have experience of whole class cover.

The post holder willbe required to provide classroom cover for PPA and management time, experience of covering whole classes will be an advantage.
