22.5, 3 days per week, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Weeks per year: 41 weeks

Forge Valley School is an 11-18 Academy sponsored by INOVA Multi-Academy Trust.

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and professional Attendance Officer to support and promote excellent attendance across Forge Valley School. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, families, pastoral staff, and external agencies, and will play a key role in monitoring attendance, identifying concerns, and implementing strategies to improve pupil engagement and achievement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records, analysing attendance data, following up on absences, conducting attendance-related interventions, and supporting safeguarding procedures. Strong communication, administrative and interpersonal skills are essential, together with the ability to build positive relationships while maintaining high expectations.

• experience of school attendance and/or pastoral support
• proven track record of organisational ability
• methodical, well organised, and able to prioritise and work to deadlines
• good interpersonal skills – confident communicator, able to engage constructively with young people from a variety of backgrounds
• self-motivated and able to work using own initiative
• a good communicator who will be totally committed to the welfare of our pupils.
