Salary: Up to £200 per day

A number of specialist and mainstream schools in Sheffield are seeking compassionate and resilient SEMH Teachers to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across a range of key stages.

About the RoleAs a SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils who may face barriers to learning due to emotional or behavioural challenges. You will create a structured and supportive classroom environment, adapting your approach to ensure engagement, progress, and positive relationships.
ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to SEMH needs
Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
Manage behaviour effectively using consistent and trauma-informed strategies
Support pupils' emotional regulation and engagement in learning
Work closely with support staff and wider school teams
Track and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Calm, resilient, and adaptable teaching approach
Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
