Salary: £460 - £600 per week

Are you committed to supporting young people who need help managing behaviour and engagement in a school setting? A supportive secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support practitioner to join their team.

About the Role: As a Behaviour Support member of staff, you will work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and SEN staff to support pupils who may struggle with behaviour and engagement. You will help de-escalate situations, provide consistent support in lessons and encourage positive interactions across the school day.
Responsibilities- Support pupils with behaviour and engagement across the classroom
- Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies
- Help de-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
- Encourage positive behaviour, attendance and participation in learning
- Maintain a structured and supportive learning environment
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Calm, confident and resilient approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with students
- Team-focused and adaptable attitude
- Interest in supporting behaviour and pastoral development in schools
To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Support (Secondary), you should: have the right to work in the UK; have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years; have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
