Responsibilities
  • Your key responsibilities will be teaching a wide range of sessions to students working at Entry Level 3 to Level 2. You will be confident in the delivery of personal development skills and you will have a good understanding of SEND, neurodiversity, mental health needs and behavioural issues and how these impact on young people in learning environments.
Qualifications
  • Ideally you’ll have Level 3 or higher (the specific subject area is less important than the transferrable skills), a teaching qualification at Level 5 and Maths & English at Level 2 (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in SEND teaching.
  • You will have appropriate teaching strategies to support learning; particularly with students with SEND or SEMH needs. It’s important that you’re able to show a trauma informed approach and demonstrate our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
  • You will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
