PK Education are working with a secondary school in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a Food Technology Teacher from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful Design Technology faculty where practical learning is at the heart of the curriculum. The department benefits from modern food rooms, excellent technician support, and a strong uptake of Food Technology at KS4.
The successful candidate will teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons that develop students' confidence, creativity, and understanding of nutrition, food production, and kitchen skills.
- Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging practical lessons
- Preparing students for GCSE assessments
- Monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
- Working collaboratively within the Technology faculty
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school
- Strong practical classroom management skills
- Passion for delivering engaging, hands‑on lessons
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities
