Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs? A welcoming school in Sheffield is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs. You will help students access the curriculum, build confidence and develop independence through one-to-one and small group support while contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs where appropriate.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and participation in classroom activities.
• Help maintain a safe, supportive and well‑organised learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and share relevant feedback with teaching staff.

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
• A genuine commitment to helping children achieve their potential.
• Knowledge of additional learning needs such as ASD, ADHD or speech and language needs is advantageous.
