Secondary Physical Education (PE) Teacher

Milk Education are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and resilient Physical Education Teacher to join a forward‑thinking department in a Secondary school in South Yorkshire. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 PE, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons across a range of sports and fitness activities. This is a full‑time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high‑quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging practical lessons across a range of sports and physical activities
- Teach theoretical PE content including anatomy, fitness, health, and sports studies
- Promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
- Ensure safe practice in all practical sessions and manage risk effectively
- Use assessment data to track progress and support student development
- Encourage participation, resilience, and positive sporting attitudes
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
- Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialism in Physical Education - able to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, including in practical settings
- Good subject knowledge of PE theory and a range of sports
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
