Learner Support Assistant – Sheffield

Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Teacher Active is working with a range of supportive primary, secondary and specialist SEND schools across Sheffield, and we're looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic Learner Support Assistants to join our team from September.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
Help pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Support students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement individual support plans.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience supporting children or young people in an educational or care setting.
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A passion for supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.
Relevant qualifications or SEND training are desirable but not essential.
