OverviewThe University of Sheffield’s new MPharm degree opened in September 2025 and as our cohorts grow we are seeking additional team members to join us as we develop our discipline and our innovative curriculum.
In this full-time role, you will specifically contribute to the development and delivery of our experiential learning content within the integrated MPharm. Our programme offers students a true experiential learning experience from Year 1 covering all sectors of practice and extending to incorporate the final year research project embedded in practice. This role will involve extensive stakeholder liaison though recruitment and training and the identification and design of mutually beneficial learning outcomes.
You will be a key member of the curriculum design team, working closely with the Head of Pharmacy Practice and colleagues from all Pharmacy themes. Alongside the experiential learning role, you will design, deliver and assess teaching in the Pharmacy Practice area.
We are looking for candidates with experience of working with trainees (Pharmacy students or Foundation Year Pharmacists) ideally in an education and training role as a practicing Pharmacist. Additionally you should have experience of project work, working across and collaboratively with mixed membership teams, and delivery to standards. Experience of undergraduate teaching is not essential for this role and you will be supported by the team as you develop your teaching approach and in obtaining your FHEA qualification.

Main duties and responsibilities- Working with the Head of Pharmacy, Head of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Leadership team, lead on the development and delivery of experiential learning within the MPharm programme ensuring that it is accessible, inclusive and contributes to the University’s Teaching and Learning Strategy.
- Work with our stakeholders to ensure their role within our programme is supported through developing relationships and providing training, liaising on EPAs and receiving feedback.
- Work with the School of AHPNM Placements Team and Learning Technologists to provide an excellent experiential learning experience for our students
- Contribute to national Pharmacy experiential learning communities.
- Undertake scholarship activities in Pharmacy Education, appropriate to experiential learning, that are influential on a national / international stage.
