Education Swimming Teacher

Are you passionate about teaching children to swim?

This is an opportunity to make a direct difference to children across Sheffield by helping pupils build confidence, water‑safety skills and the ability to swim as part of their primary education.

The role offers casual hours supporting school swimming delivery during the school day, working as part of an experienced team within Sheffield’s Primary School Swimming Programme.

You will be joining a supportive team that is committed to high‑quality, inclusive swimming provision for children. This role would suit a confident, qualified swimming teacher who enjoys working with primary‑aged pupils and helping them progress safely in the water.

We would like to hear from you if you have swimming teaching experience and hold the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification, or an equivalent qualification, alongside the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification. We will also accept the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches; however, if successful, you would be expected to work towards the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification.

Successful candidates will work with the swim team to deliver swimming lessons that support Key Stage 2 pupils to meet the National Curriculum swimming requirements.
