Associate Lecturer in Medical Ultrasound

Job summary

We are looking to expand our team with inspirational Associate Lecturers (ALs) who have a passion for delivering high-quality learning experiences along with substantial industry experience for an inspirational individual to join our medical ultrasound team as an Associate Lecturer (AL).You must have relevant clinical experience in medical ultrasound, practicing as a Sonographer and be someone who can inspire, enthuse, and connect with our students and may be interested in combining this with your enthusiasm and ability to pass on your knowledge and experience by creating and delivering high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment.

You must have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of the critical, practical, and theoretical concepts of medical ultrasound practice and have had experience in clinical practice working as a Sonographer.

You must have good honours degree (i.e. UK 2.1 or 1st Class) in radiography or a relevant allied health profession or equivalent professional qualification, and a Post graduation Diploma (PgD) or MSc qualification in medical ultrasound.

Becoming an AL can be an excellent introduction to teaching in higher education. Some teaching experience would be an advantage; however, you may have well developed and current knowledge and understanding from an academic and/or professional perspectives.

Main duties of the jobTo be responsible for the teaching delivery of
specifically identified subjects and topics relating to a defined area of work
and associated assessment and administration. To contribute positively to the
student experience.

Responsibilities Teaching and Learning
Design and deliver, high quality
and challenging learning experiences that equip students with the skills and
knowledge required by employers.
Teach specifically identified

Provide effective and efficient
teaching to approved courses through lecture, seminar or tutorial modes of
