Psychology Graduate/Undergraduates – SEND Teaching Assistant Sheffield £93 -£105 per day depending on experience

Hours – 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday, part time or full time

Connex Education is partnering with a specialist SEND school in Sheffield to recruit a Psychology Graduate for a SEND Teaching Assistant position on a full-time basis. There is potential for this temporary role to become permanent for the ideal candidate. The school supports pupils of all ages with ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD and ASD.

• Offer mentoring support and guidance to pupils in a supportive relationship.
• Support pupils in setting and working towards personal and academic objectives.
• Apply your knowledge and expertise to benefit pupils in specific areas.
• Help pupils build new skills and navigate challenges.
• Serve as a positive role model and provide encouragement to pupils.
• Build supportive and trusting relationships with a diverse range of pupils.

• Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Active listening skills to recognise and understand each pupil’s individual needs and concerns.
• Empathy and the capacity to connect with pupils from varied backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities to establish rapport with pupils.
• Patience and the capability to offer constructive feedback.
