Career Teachers are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a highly supportive secondary school in North Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for an English specialist seeking a long-term role with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The successful candidate will join a welcoming English department and teach motivated students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The school is looking for someone who can make a positive impact from day one and contribute to the continued success of the department.
With an immediate start available
, this position will run through to the end of the academic year and offers the possibility of a permanent contract for the right teacher.
£150 – £240 per day (dependent on experience, qualifications and responsibilities).
The Role- Full-time English Teacher
- Immediate start available
- Long-term assignment until July
- Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Planning, preparation and marking responsibilities included
- Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire achievement
- Supporting students of varying abilities to reach their full potential
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and department

Essential Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A commitment to raising standards and student achievement
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Experienced English Teachers
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
- Teachers returning to the profession
