Experience of supporting Deaf/Hearing Impaired learners in FE or school settings
Excellent communication skills in BSL and note taking
Able to communicate with Deaf and Hearing-Impaired learners at a range of educational levels and settings
Able to take clear and precise notesat a range of educational levels
Level 2 English and Maths Qualification or Equivalent
Level 3 qualification in Sign Language or willingness to work towards
CACDP/ Signature Qualification in British
Sign Language Level 2
Level 2 Qualification in Note taking, or equivalent
Qualification/training in Deaf Awareness/Deaf Studies
CSW training or qualification
Ableto keep up to date records of learner progress and provide own contribution to record of in class support
Awareness of Deaf culture
