The Architectural Technician/Technologist will work collaboratively with the Customer to provide technical support on non‑nuclear and nuclear assets and facilities within the Devonport Dockyard site; for example, refurbishments/renovation, new developments and listed building compliance. This role may include but is not limited to: supporting the customer in key delivery projects, providing professional and flexible technical support to the delivery of construction related projects, ensuring that all architectural aspects of construction modifications, redesigns and new infrastructure are scoped, developed and delivered to meet operational requirements, safety standards and compliance obligations.

• Providing advice on construction related matters
• Providing input into various stages of the RIBA process
• Producing drawing information and specification
• Liaising with key customer stakeholders and design team
• Interfacing with statutory authorities

• Degree in related disciplines (Preferable)
• Typically, 10+ years of relevant architectural experience
• Proven track record in delivering projects from RIBA stages 3 to 5, including acting as lead designer and overseeing the wider design team
• Knowledge and experience working within RIBA stages 0 to 2 preferable
• Strong knowledge of Revit and/or similar BIM capable software and project delivery to BIM level 2
• Proficiency in understanding/production of architectural drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of roles and responsibilities under current legislation, including CDM and BSA
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments, working with a customer‑first approach and providing flexibility to changing requirements.

• Good Communication skills – makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
• Understanding of nuclear industry and/or other safety‑critical environments. Experience in working in a dockyard, marine, Defence or MoD environments particularly with asset lifecycle support.
• Knowledge of commercial and industrial sector environment
• Experience with delivering projects in compliance with environmental regulations
• Experience working with common data environments or data delivery platforms
• Experience working with various size projects to provide a broad range of skills
