Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.

We have an opportunity in Dunbar for an Auxiliary Plant Operative to join our team working 40 hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern including days, nights and weekends.

The salary for this role will be £44,066 per year , inclusive of shift allowance a nd participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

The Auxiliary Plant Operator (APO) will work on a shift rotation to:

• Competently carry out operational activities within the boiler house and turbine hall and ensure that they are carried out in a safe, professional, economical and timely manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the efficient day to day operation of the plant under the direction of the Shift Team Leader, maximising plant availability at the facility.
• Assist the Shift Team with the operation of plant whilst maintaining all company standards and ensuring legal compliance.
