Job Description & How to Apply Below
You will be part of a collaborative structural team, supporting the delivery of structural engineering design across a broad mix of projects. The role will involve carrying out structural design work in line with current standards and regulations, producing calculations and drawings, and assisting with the preparation and checking of technical information. Working alongside experienced engineers and other disciplines, you will contribute to well-coordinated design solutions that meet both client and project needs.
You will be encouraged to take ownership of your own workload, with guidance and support from senior engineers, and to grow your level of responsibility as your experience develops. The role offers excellent exposure to all stages of project delivery, providing a solid platform for technical progression while working in a positive, team-focused environment.
This position would suit a Structural Engineer with between two and four years of post-graduate experience in an engineering design Consultancy who is working towards Chartered or Incorporated status. Applicants should hold a degree in civil or structural engineering or an equivalent qualification, with a master's degree considered an advantage. Experience supporting the design of building structures in materials such as concrete, steel, masonry and timber using current UK Standards and Eurocodes is expected.
You should be comfortable using structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer or similar, along with design spreadsheets including Excel and TEDDS, and have working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. Experience assisting with construction information, specifications or site inspections would be beneficial, but training and support will be provided where required.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, approachable and keen to learn, with good communication skills and a collaborative mindset. A full UK driving licence is required.
