We are excited to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an Estimator. The successful candidate will be based in our Sheffield office with the requirement to travel to fulfill duties.
Structure Care are part of the CPG Europe family which includes other well-known brands including Tremco, Flowcrete, Illbruck, Nullifire, Vandex and Dryvit.
Structure Care are CPG’s Specialist in-house Contractor who are focused on the Repair, Maintenance and Protection of Buildings and Structures throughout the UK and are seeking to appoint an Estimator to our ever-expanding team. The role will be to provide critical support to our existing estimating team, as well as develop strategies to facilitate growth in all of our business sectors
Duties:
- Supporting the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive estimates
- Work together with the sales team and Account Development Director to identify key clients
- Conduct pre-start meetings with clients and subcontractors
- Work together with the Estimating Manager to train and develop Junior Estimators
- Work with the commercial team to assist with variations and cost tracking
- Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain pricing and availability information
- Undertake report outs and sales calls when required
- Producing detailed cost estimates and proposals
- Undertaking follow up calls to gather feedback from potential clients
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Assist in the completion of PQQ’s to ensure that we can maintain our position to do business.
- Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by management, in the interest of improving the position of the business
- Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularaly Excel
- The ideal candidate should have a strong aptitude for both mathematics and finance, and be able to apply this knowledge to come up with solutions based on thorough analysis and out of the box thinking.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work autonomously, while ensuring group standards are maintained
- Team player capable of a flexible approach
- Commitment, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic
- Energetic & self-motivated
- A degree in a related field or relavant work experience (preferred but not required)
- Strong mathmatical and/or finance skills preferred
- A valid UK Driving licence
