Quality Assurance Engineer

This role is based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, and will be working as part of our Quality department who ensure that our products meet internal standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations through stringent quality assurance and control. The function supports all of our departments, including Melting, Work Rolls, Machine Shops, Forge and Foundry.

• Manage and develop a comprehensive quality management system to ensure compliance with industry standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish quality benchmarks, performance indicators, and improvement objectives.
• Monitor and analyse quality performance, identifying areas for enhancement and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct quality audits, both internal and external, and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to address quality issues.
• Facilitate and provide training to employees on quality principles, processes, and tools.
• Promote a quality-focus and proactive approach to preventing defects.

• Experience of quality systems auditing (ISO 9001:2015, AQAP 2110).
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement approach.
• Strong stakeholder management.
• Strong data analysis, reporting and presentation skills.
• Proficient in using MS Office suite.

Due to the nature of the role, the ability to travel both in the UK and abroad as required, is essential. As well as having the skills, knowledge and experience for this role, we are also looking for someone who embodies our core values. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 - 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer flexibility in our start and finish times between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00.
